    The State Administration of Taxation (SAT) recently organized an enlarged meeting among the CPC members to communicate and learn the spirits of China's Central Economic Work Conference, and to study and arrange the specific implementation measures in the tax sector. Mr. Xiao Jie, the Party Leadership Group Secretary and Administrator of SAT, presided over and addressed the meeting.
    All the meeting participants reached a consensus that the latest Central Economic Work Conference is a significant meeting following the Sixth Plenary Session of the Seventeenth CPC Central Committee. The conference reviewed China's economic performance this year, analyzed the domestic and international economic climate, put forward the general requirements and key tasks for the economic work in 2012, thus serving as an essential guideline for our taxation work in the coming year. The taxation organs at different levels shall learn and understand the intrinsic implications of those speeches by General Secretary Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao so that we can unite our minds and efforts based on the Central Government's judgment of current domestic and foreign situations and general requirements, decisions and arrangements for the economic work in 2012, and can consciously obey and serve the overall interests of work of the entire party and the whole country.
    The taxation organs at all levels were expected to improve and implement the structural tax-cut policies, deepen tax system reform, strive to ensure fast yet steady economic development and basic stability of overall consumer prices, support industrial restructuring, optimize and upgrade the economic structure, and maintain and improve people's livelihood according to the spirits of the Central Economic Work Conference. Besides, they shall strengthen tax collection and administration, and ensure the continuous and steady growth of tax revenue so as to offer a reliable financial support for economic and social development.
    It's stressed at the meeting as a significant task for all the tax developments to implement the spirits of the Central Economic Work Conference. The taxation organs at all levels shall wait for no moment to study and design implementation measures, handle all the taxation work properly and exploit the tax function sufficiently to make new contributions to the economic and social development.
