Officials of finance and taxation from African countries took an onsite seminar in Xiong’an, Hebei Province. The 17 officials from Nigeria, Togo, Sierra Leone, South Africa and Uganda visited Xiong’an 5G smart taxation hall, the start-up zone service center and the smart city industrial park service center of China Telecom.
Ms. Agnes Nabwire, Assistant Commissioner of Uganda Revenue Authority, praised Xiong’an as “a city with advanced management and information technology support”, adding that Xiong’an Smart Tax Office “has efficient smart tax facilities, which make it convenient for taxpayers to handle tax-related issues”.
Ms.Mary Moussou Khamubai, the Assistant Commissioner of the Sierra Leone Revenue Authority, spoke highly of the integrated application functions of tax declaration, tax invoices and other systems in Xiong’an, while she pledged to share with her colleagues about Chinese digital tax administration experience for her country’s advancement of the tax collection and management capacity.
This visit is a part of a seminar of taxation administration of the African countries, organized by the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) in collaboration with the Belt and Road Initiative Tax Administration Capacity Enhancement Group (BRITACEG) .
