Three Announcements

I. Contact Point
To facilitate the follow-up work of the BRITACOM, it would be highly appreciated if your agency could appoint at least one fixed contact person, whose name, title, telephone number, mobile number, fax number, email address, and postal address be kindly reported to the Secretariat of the BRITACOM before May 18th, 2019. It is advised that the contact person be fluent in English and recommendably be the Director General of the International Relations/Taxation Department of your tax authority. 

II. Task Forces
According to Part G of the Wuzhen Action Plan (2019-2021), five task forces will be established for the implementation of the action plans, namely, (i) raising tax certainty; (ii) expediting tax dispute resolution; (iii) enhancing tax administration capacity; (iv) streamlining tax compliance; and (v) digitalizing tax administration. Each Member TA should join one or more task forces. Observers are strongly encouraged to further their engagement through participation in one or more task forces. Please notify the Secretariat of your option of task forces before the 18th of May, 2019. 

III. Secretariat
According to Article 12 of the MoU, the Secretariat is the liaison office of the BRITACOM located in Beijing, supporting the routine operation of the Council, the BRITACOF and the BRITACEG. Each Member TA or Observer may second one English-speaking representative to the Secretariat to work for two years, either on site in China or online outside China. Please send us your decision of secondee to serve the Secretariat within your earliest possible convenience as of 1 May, 2019.
